These Terms of Service govern your use of Osmio, including the Chrome extension and associated backend services at getosmio.com. By installing the extension or creating an account, you agree to these terms.
Osmio is a browser extension that replaces words on websites you visit with words in a target language of your choice. It uses AI to select and translate text. The service requires an account for translation features and an active subscription for levels 2–5.
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You may not share your account with others or use the service for any automated or bulk translation purposes.
The free plan includes Level 1 immersion and up to 20 translated pages per day. The Pro plan ($4.99/month) unlocks all 5 immersion levels and unlimited daily pages. Pricing may change with reasonable notice to existing subscribers.
Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time from your account page — access continues until the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.
You agree not to use Osmio to scrape, copy, or redistribute the content of websites you visit. You agree not to reverse engineer, modify, or redistribute the Osmio extension or backend services. You agree not to attempt to circumvent usage limits or billing.
Osmio uses the Anthropic Claude API to generate translations. Translation quality may vary. Osmio does not guarantee accuracy of translations and is not liable for errors in translated content. Text from pages you browse is sent to the Anthropic API for translation — see our Privacy Policy for details on how this data is handled.
We aim to keep Osmio available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. In the event of a permanent shutdown, we will provide at least 30 days notice and pro-rate any prepaid subscription fees.
Osmio is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Osmio and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users by email of any material changes. Continued use of Osmio after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
